Rekindled

If tonight be the farewell of our love
Then let the time stand still,
Cease the night from melting away
Let me capture you forever within.

Let silence fill the void
And speak the unspoken promises
Let’s redefine passion
And allow inhibitions meet their nemesis.

Looking into your eyes,
They mirror the pain,
Trembling lips, soft and molten
They call out my name.

The contours of your face
Unbridled, let my soul ingrain,
Let the shrill delight of your laughter
Shatter me from corners to your domain.

Just before bidding goodbye
Beyond the myth of  right and wrong,
Let’s break the boundaries tonight
Before darkness sees the light of dawn.


Fire ablaze, glasses clinching,
Lets unite forever, before departing.
In another life, in a world far away,
I promise to be yours, I promise to stay.
